Cold Water, Hot Water, and Steam
One can classify the output temperature ratings of industrial pressure washers into three categories: cold water, hot water, and steam.
Cold water machines provide output without any heating — that is, the output is at room temperature or inlet temperatures. Hot water machines have an output temperature of up to 210°F. Steam pressure washer machines have the maximum output temperature, up to 330°F. It is a well known fact that cleaning power increases as temperature increases, thus steam output is the best in terms of cleaning efficiency.
Hence, they are widely used for industrial degreasing applications. However, the high temperature output makes them unsuitable for cleaning heat-sensitive surfaces.
